Anxiety Cure - Self-help to Change your Life:

Make self-care a high priority, take time for yourself, and have some fun.

Take care of yourself. Treat yourself regularly. When you feel stressed or tense, find time just for you, and just relax. If all you can manage is five minutes here and there, make that time count. You need to find things to do which enable you to lift your own spirits. Take a bubble bath, lie down and close your eyes, sit outside in the sunshine, read a book. Just spend that time on you, and doing something that you love to do. This is really important to beating anxiety. Sometimes with all the hustle and bustle of daily life we forget to take time out for ourselves, and have some fun. Whether fun be hanging out with your friends, going for a swim, a jog, sitting somewhere quiet, going to a native reserve to listen to the birds, or going to the beach with mates. Just remember to live a little and have some fun, enjoy yourself, don’t just work all the time! Make the time to spend with your family and friends on fun things that you enjoy doing together.

A great way to help you to set time aside is to start by breaking the things you have to do down into little, easy to handle, steps. Do one thing at a time! I would also recommend that you learn time management techniques, such as “Time Blocking”, and using a daily planner. Screw up your to-do-list! Instead, keep your daily planner on hand all day. This way you will be in better control of your life, time, stress, and energy.

Also, psychologically it is a lot better for you to have exciting things ahead of you rather than just in your past. You will feel extremely down about yourself if you feel like the world is passing you by. Changing the way that you see yourself and the way that you see the world can play a major part in your recovery. Practising neutral self-talk will help you to achieve this.
